Beginning in January of 2026 I will be offering Collective Molecular Photography workshops teaching Veda Austin’s technique for photographing water in its, as she calls it’s, “state of creation”. Join this informative and interactive zoom workshop for beginners wanting to learn the technique. I will walk you through the process and share with you the things I’ve learned over the few years I have been practicing Collective Molecular Photography. I will discuss the details on how to execute and photograph the process. While the technique is rather simple there as some nuances with it. Everyone in the group can ask questions and try the technique during the workshop. This class will be recorded and everyone who signs up gets sent the recording, even if you can’t make it on the day of.
I recommend you order a glass petri dish in advance, 70mm or larger in diameter. I prefer 100mm dishes for their ease of working with, although larger or smaller dishes are fine as well. They come with a glass lid which can be used as a second dish. You’ll need a working freezer and a camera (Veda and I both use our cell phones). The workshops generally run for about two hours. The first half of the workshop will cover the How-To’s, and the second half everyone on the call will get a chance to freeze a dish or two, we’ll look at them as a group and I can give advice on dialing in the technique.
